Communities Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow

Friday, March 18, 2022

9:00 AM – 10:30 AM EST

(Virtual Webinar)

You are invited to celebrate International Women's Day with the International Women's Think Tank, United Nations Association-Atlanta and RCE Greater Atlanta.

International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

Women are vital to climate resiliency as they are caretakers of their family, home, and communities. Yet their voices are not often heard in leadership discussions when it comes to making climate-wise choices that impact their home communities. Speakers will share their knowledge and experiences in advancing the selected Global Goals in their communities. Discussions include defining climate equity, women leadership in climate resiliency, status of climate education, ways to integrate climate education and climate equity in communities, and opportunities to advance climate education through the lens of social equity.

Social Impact Project

Cultural Exchange Initiative - IWTT has pioneered a sister school collaboration between Baltimore, Maryland based Western High School, the oldest all girls public high school in the USA and the Sister School Global Initiative of Lagos, Nigeria.

The purpose of the collaboration is to prepare young women for future global leadership roles by expanding their understanding of diverse world cultures. Our motto: Raising Leadership into Greatness and Assuming Greatness at any Age.

The Cultural Exchange Initiative is in collaboration with the Western High School Foundation.
